Welcome to the wonderful world of aromatic, therapeutic botanicals

Leafy Hollow has a new venture in the making. Tom Livesey, my son, has always been an artist, plus many other things, and now he is introducing his unique creativity to the world.

Introducing Birdbox Studio and Gallery!

Birdbox Studio and Gallery holds a small sample of Tom’s work with paint, wood and stainless steel.

Over the years Tom has produced a lot of artwork using a variety of media on a wide-ranging scale.

The paintings displayed here express his affinity with the natural world – particularly trees.

You will also see work in progress, likely oil paintings, which Tom now approaches with great freedom, beginning with direction but no destination, simply taking colour on journeys around the canvas confident that they will arrive somewhere beautiful, having competed and collaborated incessantly along the way.

He likens the process to free-form jigsaw puzzling, where there are no pieces and no picture is provided as a guide. There is, however, always a solution.

It is a very engrossing and challenging mental exercise.

Tom’s work is already attracting attention and engaging visitors in an interactive journey of the imagination.

See examples of Tom's work above and to the right (sculpture entitled 'Isobel').

We look forward to welcoming you to our new gallery space!
